| Ever since I put my phone number on PA's "do not call" list I have been bombarded by telemarketing calls. A while back there was a thread that listed a site that has an audio file of the phone companies disconnected number tones (as used by the Telezapper). I should have kept the link, but didn't and now I can't find the thread again. Can anybody help a brother out? Thanks! |
| I use PacBell's privacy manager feature. The disadvantage is the monthly fee for the service but it works the best. Also, the "line no longer in service" doesn't work like it use to. I had the tones on my answer machine for over a decade. When these websites and products that do the same started to pop-up, the telemarketers started to ignore the tones. That is what caused me to switch to privacy manager. |
