You can make your own tannerite for way cheap. Just do some google searching for homemade tannerite ingredients. There are 2 somewhat available ingredients in it.

Buy the 1/2 lb. targets - still loud as hell but cheaper. Also buy in quantity for cheaper pricing.
I would suggest not mixing any homebrews - 1) to avoid any kind of oops. An ND of gun may be bad, an ND of explosives WILL be bad and 2) You never want the E in BATFE crawling up your ass. |

I make my own from ammonium nitrate and finely powdered aluminum.
I mix it at 1 cup ammonium nitrate to 1 tablespoon aluminum powder. |

Check the EE, a fellow sells the formula CD along with a copy of the BATF paperwork regarding legality.

The formula is available by looking at the patent filed for Tannerite. One cup AN to one tablespoon AL powder works. ETA: The Tannerite formula is described by weight, but I used a scale and the above volume ratio is very close. Close enough. |

I use plastic soda bottles. Mix it well. I use a small tupperware tub where I thoroughly mix it. |
