Point is, you will in all likelihood be held accountable for every projectile released and also for every keystroke ever made -not only those keystrokes made subsequent to the shooting but also those made prior to the shooting, even far far prior to the shooting. | not just posting about things, but to say stupid shit like "I couldnt see, i didnt have my contacts in" and "I shot blind".. after previously claiming the guy came after him with a crowbar.. well which is it? not good. even Reese Witherspoon could hack that to shreds. |

That was one of the most stupid things I've heard someone say after a shooting. Shutting up in a situation like that is pure self defense. First you have to defend yourself from the attacker, then you have to defend yourself from the people who'd like to put you in jail, or are willing to help them. And this includes the neighbors, cops, ambulance drivers, media folks and anyone else you come in contact with. You STFU to avoid accidentally saying something fucking stupid. Like the above. |

I would like to kick the OP of the original thread in the balls, really really hard, just so he can't replicate his own stupidity for another generation. Page full of people telling him to STFU and stop posting and he still posts shit.

It was explained to me by a lawyer that civil immunity does not mean you can't be sued, it just meant the burden of proof was shifted or something, and they plaintiff could be held liable for your legal fees. I don't remember all the details but the bottom line was you CAN still be sued. |
