My damn satellite went out last night and the only phone numbers listed for me to call are SBC new sales.  WTF?  How the hell do I get tech support?

Are you still receiving signal and your decoder is de-authorized?

If you've lost signal you've got to get the dish pointed again and that's you or a local service call. If you're de-authorized they you need to get your set pinged to get it turned back on and the 1-800 number can help.

Get up there on the roof with a compass and a two-way radio.  "fish" for the signal.

the sattelite is on the roof at the appartment building's main office.  It is the same dish for all residentds

Well I got through to SBC and they gave me some tips for fixing it when I get home and they will send some signals to the receiver.   Maybe I can watch TV tonight afterall.

Does anyone else in your complex get a signal?
Might be a complex wide problem.

Does anyone have access to the dish?
Someone might have moved it.

Can you trace your DTV cable?
Someone might have disconnected it.

Did anyone move out near your apartment?
Once I lost my cable signal because the cable guy disconnected the wrong cable lead.
