Plus, you can use a little diamond paste on the strop. It's a nice finish. I use one thickness of electrical tape along the spine to determine angle for the stones, and then strop without the tape. There's a shitload of videos. |

I picked up another straight razor for $15, WISS 45 on the tang. It was fairly rusted so I cleaned it up . As you can probably see, the edge has a curve in it. Do I need to straighten it and if so what is the best way to do that. Can't find anything online. Thanks

Whoever did it last didn't keep pressure off of it in the middle and scooped it. You'd get more complete advice on Badger&Blade; I bet.. |

Grandfathers straight razor. He died 30 years ago. Just found it going through my grandmothers stuff that just died at age 100. It's in rough shape. Dixie Manfacturing company Union, GA. Nice to have but I don't plan on getting it restored and shaving with it. I'll stick to a safety razor. Also pretty sure it was a mass produced deal. Saw an ad for one for $4.95 at some point.
