Does anyone have a detailed instructions on how to make a spud gun? But I want this one shoot tennis balls. |

Get a 2" PVC pipe, glue that to a 2" to 3" adapter, glue that to a 3" pipe for the combustion chamber, rig up either a BBQ grill ignitor or a Coleman lantern lighter and use hair spray and your good to go. Edited to say: Let it dry overnight before firing, and dont drink while building it, the results could be disasterous. |

i'm not joking here: look into the laws before you make a tennis ball gun. me and a couple buddies were really into building potato guns a few years back... i still have 4 of 5 LARGE ones at my house. we were out shooting them one time and DEP showed up. (let me preface this by saying i've had a lot of bad experiences with DEP.) anyhow, very nice guy hops out and starts bs-ing with us. said he heard the noise (very loud) and wanted to check it out. anyhow, i mentioned how we wanted to build one that fired golf balls because i thought we could get insane distance with one. so this DEP officer tells us to be carefull, because under certain circumstances, or firing certain projectiles, the spud guns can become unregistered destructive devices and whatnot. i never pursued the golf ball gun idea, but whatever... just food for thought i guess. |
