Anyone played it yet?  It looks like it could be a great game or potentially grow old after a day.  Any AAR's?

I would like to see a more realistic game like that. One where you can make a myriad of animals and they can eat each other.

ETA: Just watched the game trailer and it looks very cool, and you can make them eat each other.

There have been a few threads on it.  So far for me it is worth the money. A few people on the forum think otherwise.

Meh, I pirated it, played it for 20 minutes, and am bored with it.

In no way is it an "Evolution" game....

I am down loading the trial creature creator to check it out.

Its a good game in theory...

The first 4 levels are pretty simplistic, and the space stage, while very open ended, gets boring pretty quickly, the missions repeat and after a while its just a grind.

The only redeeming feature is that you can make your cell / animal / person / buildings / spaceship look like anything you want, but even that novelty wears off quickly.

ETA: its just not very deep... like the creature you create, there's like a total of 10 different abilities you can get via parts you add to them, most parts repeat abilities, and half the abilities you won't use... if you're gonna be a warrior race you won't use the diplomatic ones, and vice-versa.  The placement of them on the creature doesn't matter...

Its like if you took 5 different games, stripped out all of the details that make them a complete game on their own, and bundled them together.

Like the civilization phase was said  to be akin to simcity... if simcity only had 3 different buildings, 1 land vehicle, 1 boat vehicle, and 1 flying vehicle... and you couldn't build stuff where you wanted...

There is enough misinformation about evolution around this forum as it is....

My favorite was the part where you go directly from an aquatic tadpole looking thing to a terrestrial biped.

I guess some of the concepts apply, once I was on land my bad ass poison pods were no longer beneficial so they were selected out.

All and all I'd be pissed if I had paid 50 bucks for it, hell I'd be pissed if I was anticipating this game for four years like some have been.

I found out about it a week ago.
