Port Malabar Rifle and Pistol Club (PMRPC) a 120 acre gun club with around 4000 members has just emailed this message: IMPORTANT NOTICE!!! Subject: Safety Update – Sig Sauer P320 Prohibited on PMRPC Property Dear PMRPC Members, At Port Malabar Rifle and Pistol Club (PMRPC), firearms safety is — and always will be — our highest priority. Effective immediately, the Sig Sauer P320, including all derivative models based on the P320 platform, is not permitted on PMRPC property. This includes both use and possession. The suspension will remain in place until the concerns surrounding this platform have been fully addressed and resolved to our satisfaction. We continue to recognize Sig Sauer as a respected leader in the firearms industry and are confident they are actively investigating the issue. Once resolved, we will reevaluate this prohibition. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we uphold the safety standards that define our club. | I used to shoot a highpower rifle tourney there called Snowbird or Orange Blossom. It was a good tourney, attended by many shooters and even the USAMU. I quit shooting it when they mandated all competitors wear safety glasses while shooting. Even the National Matches doesn't do that (strongly recommended). When the land out past the pits/berm was developed, they had to install pipes you shoot thru to limit barrel elevation and prevent going over the target at high angle. I haven't been back there in many years, but it doesn't surprise me at that range. |

I am 2.4miles from the gate just off MR. 20 years ago a guy called the police and met them at the gate of the club claiming the range was shooting into his yard. As proof he produced 3 rounds of ammunition that he claims were shot from the club. 3 complete unfired rounds of ammunition. I was annoyed they did not arrest him for filing a false police report See you at the Flohmarkt on the 31st? |

This is my "local" range - I drive past half a dozen other ranges from opposite end of county to go there it's a really good one. I haven't been paying close attention to the P320 wars, but it's obvious to me the P320 is dangerous and Sig's response should cause pause for future support and purchases. But I know how the fanboys feel, especially those heavily into the P320 platform. I love my P365's and they aren't going anywhere. Granted they aren't going to fucking kill somebody sitting in a holster.. |

My range/gun club banned the 320 last week. I'm sure it's just liability driven. I don't know if any local agencies use the 320, don't think so, but would be interesting if some agency that issued the 320 had to respond to the range... p.s. I don't own any 320, never even fired one. |

The only homeowners in my AO who don't actively shoot are my western neighbor and his sister, who lives immediately to his south. That's due to lack of backstop on their properties. Both are invited to use my range. This place sounds like a war movie at times. America, fuck yeah. |

All I needed to see was the video of a cop getting out of his car with both hands visible and his holstered P320 going off and medics barely saving his life to know there is no way no how I would ever trust a failed design like that model Sig. I am with 0.000000000000000000000000% on that. Why there's a pretty good chance the P320 won't kill you today, less tomorrow. Good luck with that |
