gloves wouldnt hurt. it shouldnt be too bad as long as you wash you hands soon thereafter. dont use latex gloves cause they feel weird with the stuff on em. leather gloves would be the best. and as always make sure there is plenty of ventilation. do it outside if you can. |
| planing on doing it out side with plenty of paper towels for clean up. then an emediate washing of the hands. If I used the same tooth brush I use for cleaning my guns can I still clean my guns with is after words? That's probably a dumb question but there it is. |

gross. I would seriously consider some clorox too. I get real weird about my knives. I see people cleaning their nails and stuff with them and it kills me. I use my knife for cutting food and stuff while camping and I couldn't bear wondering if the last thing my blade cut was a half pound of toe-jam or something gross. I'd WD40 the piss out of it, Clorox it and WD40 it again for good measure. |
You can't run a can of WD-40??? Or is it just a bad/old/broken can? (I dunno, those usually don't still have the red tubes anywhere to be found) Hit with brake cleaner (or does the letherman wave have plastic parts?) Another option is to buy a new leatherman, they now have a model with a built in cliip, so it stays compact, yet accessible. They are clean right out of the box, too!!! |
