My brother has been in and out of the hospital. he lives VERY far away, so I don't have much info.
All I know is he has been bleeding internally for some time. When admitted last week, they found a mass in his stomach-They don't know what it is, and they kept him for five days trying to stabilize and get down infection...
he went back in this AM for tests and surgery. they found MAJOR masses all up and down his colon. He is having the colon removed tomorrow. And surgery for the stomach.
They are putting him in the cardiac ward. His heart has not been well and they are concerned about meds affecting it.
need prayers please.....
He is only 53.
Touches home. My father died at 51 from cardiac and stomach problems.
This ain't good!

Thank you.
This really sucks. And so does crying. I am no cryer, and find myself blubbering!
God bless

Prayers inbound, Joyce.  My dad went through this a couple of years ago when he was 57-58 years old and he is totally fine.  He didn't have the heart issues, but as long as your brother is in a good hospital they should be able to control things pretty well.  It sounds like they are aware and doing everything they can to get the best outcome.  I will keep praying.

Thanks!
I don't know if his wife will call after surgery or not. They apparently do not want family to know....

Will let you know when I hear....

He has stabilized, but the bleeding continues.
Ulcerative colitis...thru out the digestive tract. Biopsy came back negative for cancer!
Thank you for the prayers!!!

We have to watch and wait to see of they can get it under control with aniti-biotics pain meds and anti inflams, and special diet.
Lots of pain and frustration, but he is going to be ok. BIG SIGH OF RELIEF!

It is a gentically inherited disorder. And can turn into colon cancer if gone on too long. So they are trying to  gain control of it.

WHEW!!!!!

THANK YOU again!!!
