Just found this little jem. You can put Anonymous for name and send it to someone's cell phone, even at specific times.

Most cellular carriers do have something like that.   There used to be a site that would do all of the carriers, but I can't remember what  it was.

i hate that crap.  you get charged like 10 cents a message.  a message you didn't even ask for

a buddy of mine had to have that service disabled because his ex kept harrasing him

That's odd. I get all my incoming text messages free. I only pay for the ones I send from my phone.

Or you could just send an email to <cellnumber>@<cellcarrier>. 160 character limit.

Verizon IIRC charges you .10 to receive, whereas Cingular is free to receive.

i have verizon.    supposedly its free with cingular but im sure you can save a couple dollars a month my having the service turned off

Almost all the cell provider site have that... The best thing, it's free ! It doesn't cost you (obviously) and it doesn't cost the person who's phone you are sending it to when its coming from their site.

When did they change that?   I know I pay extra for 200 messages a month... started that when they charged .10 to receive messages, along with .10 to send.

I have Verizon, and have unlimited tms, no charge, as a part of my contract.
