That's by design, since the page says "(Searching GENERAL Forums disabled.)" right on it. Kind of annoying though, since things like Reloading, Tactics & Training, Competition, Tech Support, etc. are on general. I think they do it because General Discussion is so huge that searching it would take up too much processing power. But that's the one that most needs a search engine since it's the hardest to find a thread by paging through. I'd like to see it where you can narrow it down to a single forum, not just the board. For example search in just Bushmaster instead of all of Industry. I think that would save on processing by cutting down the number of threads searched. |
