A: SWFA SS 10x42
B: Leupold VX-II 3-9x50 Would top a Remington 700 SPS 7mm mag I can get either for same price. Mainly for hunting and some target shooting. Which would you choose? |

IBTP

Victory is reserved for those who are willing to pay its price.
|
B. The Leupold
Variable, larger objective. eta.. I suppose a big part will be which has the reticle you prefer. |

Leupold.

In before the p____?

Would normally say SWFA as I love them.
But the variable will most likely suite your needs better on a hunting rifle. |

"Sure. It would be humiliating. Having to lie there while the better man refuses to spill your blood. Mercy is the mark of a great man." poke
"Guess I'm just a good man." poke Well, I'm all right. |
Are TPS mount/rings GTG if you can't afford Badger?

My vote would be for the Leupold. I have had a few for years and they have always performed flawlessly. That being said I do not have first hand experience w/ the SWFA so my opinion is lopsided.

Psalm 18: 31-35
As man seperates itself from God we must substitute laws for morals. |
Get the Leupie.
The SWFA is a good scope, but it's too damn heavy and limited in utility for a hunting rig. Planning on whacking critters at long range is one thing, but finding yourself confronted with the trophy of a lifetime 40yds away...and all you can see in the narrow field of view is hair, is the reality of it. |
