So far I really like it, for odd reasons. The little stand thing? It was loose as hell, always flipping around. I came here to say I hated it because that annoyed the crap out of me, then I noticed it stayed in just fine...when I popped it out there was a little click...apparently I had never closed it firmly enough, it snaps in place. The buttons are kinda hard to push. At first I hated that. Then I noticed I wasn't accidently hitting buttons all the time. And now I love it, and am glad they aren't so sensitive. Perfect fit, and all ports are easily accessed. I recommend it. |

Looks like they are selling all day long between $350-450.

We've been comparing them side-by-side for years, first the Note 2 and now the 4. The Note just gets a better signal. |

I have a battery related question. Are you guys running your batteries down to 1% before charging? Or charge it when you feel it needs it? Good friend of mine works for a wireless company. He used to say when you get a brand new phone, it is important to condition the battery. Wait until it gets <5% then charge it. Do this about 5 times, then you can charge at your discretion. I'm not sure about these newer phones though. Nevertheless I still condition them when I get a new phone. |

This last phone, the battery started going downhill a month after I got it.. Yeah same thing happened with my S3, battery sucked. I did the conditioning with my S5, I'll get ~3 days off the battery with minimal use. Granted the S5 has killer battery life to begin with, but maybe the conditioning helped. However normally I'm surfing ARF so I only get about 1.5 days
I'd say continue to condition with it, if anything it won't hurt the battery. |

Nice, I have a note 2 going on 2 years of use and for the first time ever I don't feel the need for an update as the phone has been perfect since day one. Enjoy! Same. I love my Note 2. Don't really see the need to upgrade it.. I think the Note 4 is a huge upgrade from the Note 2, and even significant from the Note 3. However, there is something to be said of a phone that is 2 models old that still stands the test of time: it's a well-designed phone. I kinda understand since I have an S3 that I did not upgrade until now. I hope my Note 4 will arrive tomorrow |
|
Well just a little update.
Ive had the phone for some time now and I have to say I love it. I was a little worried that it would be too big and awkward but that is not the case. The stylist pen is pretty damn cool. Makes writing, and cruising the net sooo much easier. Battery life is about the same as all my previous phones. I do like how fast it charges. I ended up ordering a spigen case from amazon and for the money (less than 20$) its a nice case. I also ordered a screen protector but I still have the factory one installed. |
|
Was going to wait on the nexus 6, but between no SD card, no removable battery, and the $200 gift card trade in that best buy had going I couldn't turn it down.
I love it. Battery life is fantastic. S-pen is useful (especially for work purposes). I got the spigen slim case, as the phone is already massive. |

To you guys using the Note as your edc, is it pocketable? I wear normal clothes for a straight man so no skinny jeans. I carry my Note 3 in my shirt pocket or jeans (Wranglers) back pocket easily. Front pockets are always too full of pocketknife, keys etc otherwise it fits well. I'll probably upgrade to the 4 mainly just for the upgraded pen and functions. I use it a lot at work for parts lists and numbers. $250 trade in for the 3 so for $50 why not. ETA Though I will wait until they (XDA) achieves root. |
