Either that or it somehow switched me to SMS only and didn't switch me back. Someone's when I message my daughter (pixel), and she's turned off OTA data, it will fail back to SMS, but it will reset itself automatically. I guess it's possible his iPhone failed over to SMS, but it certainly didn't switch back. After a while I told my son, who had no idea it had happened, and it took him a while to figure out how to fix it.

Signal doesn’t support RCS and doesn’t support SMS anymore. So you can’t use it in place of a regular texting app.
