I read the thread about this beer the other day, and had the wife pick some up today.

Well... yea, im shitfaced now, on Octoberfest. You guys weren't kidding.

And I usually cannot stand the taste of most beers... but OMG this shit is AWESOME.

I am sucking them down like its milk from a tit. Newest favorite beer.

You must have never had a Great Lakes Brewing Co. beer.

I love Sam Adams beer, not brewed in Boston anymore though.

They aren't a microbrew anymore either but they crank out the best tasting beer of any large producer.

I like their "Cream Stout" as well.

Get some Spaten or Paulaner and you'll think Sam Adams version of Marzen crap.

Then get some Belgian ale and taste the best beer in the world.

I thought it was so-so. A bit pricey for what it is, IMHO.

Belgian and German ales make all other beers laughable.  It isn't even close.

It's fun to run into an uppity European that states that Americans can't brew good beer.

Samuel Adams is just the start.

The SA is drinkable, but I have a Marzen (Octoberfest) on tap that would make you slap your Momma.

Soon as I finish this Blueberry Wheat, I think I might have one.

I am sitting in the crappy hotel bar of a Crowne Plaza drinking October fest as I type.

Arfcom + Octoberfest + Bar = WIN!

I love the Octoberfests. Spaten is indeed great. The SA is good tho too. The Harpoon brewery's is great as well. Octoberfest is by far my favorite seasonal.

Mmmmmmm , BEER.

The pumpkin is there... kind of as an aftertaste, and it is a quick taste that dissipates fast. Not really dark. Kinda lively.  Aromatic. The beer is kind of light, which I prefer.

Just looking at that makes me thirsty  Is that only regional?  Just assuming by the name.

The Great Lakes region. They sell it in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Pennslyvania, New York, and I think Wisconson.

Yeah, just looking at that picture wants me to goto the store, buy some and throw down a few drinks right now.
