Hey Guys,
Im looking to buy my first safe and was picking around the Safe forum here and noticed that there were a few people who scored Winchester 24 gun safes for $500-$600. Do any of you knys know where I might be able to snag a deal like that? If not, what do you recommend. Thanks! |

Keep in mind tho, this might be considered an entry level safe, not super secure but it will keep out the casual home robber if it is bolted down. Not real good protection against an experienced robber who is determined to get into it. |

Not sure, but from what I've read and seen, the next level up would be in the $1,200 price range. I saw somewhere on this site a link to a very informative video about safes and how they are built and the differences in them that make one more secure than another. I saw this video after I bought my safe and said to myself.... Damn, I should have saved a little longer and bought a better one... But the one I have is a lot better than nothing. One of the guys here that know how to search can probably tell you where to find the video. I think it is tacked on the safe forum. |
