I'm not into phones at all, and I found a SIM card on the ground at work the other day. My phone doesn't have any SIM ports, so is there some sort of card reader that I cold plug into my computer that could read this?
Also what kind of data would I find on such a device. Or would this be of no use for me and I should just throw it out. |

Also what kind of data would I find on such a device. Cell phone number that it was used for, possibly some phone book entries and/or a few text messages. Most of what's on a SIM is the technical information that tells the phone what systems/towers to use, and an authentication system which verifies that it's the correct SIM for the phone number. Out of curiosity, is the SIM marked and if so what carrier is it? The most common scenario for finding a SIM lying around somewhere in public is that someone's phone was stolen and the thieves just take out the SIM and pitch it. I've known teenagers to throw away someone else's SIM card as a prank or for malice as well. Or it could just be someone's prepaid service ran out. |

You may have a sim holder under your battery. Check your owners manual. No, I don't have one. To be honest, I was kinda hoping it belonged to a pretty girl and it had pictures on it .
I'm just going to throw it away as it's of no use to me. Thanks for all the help. |
