Lets see where this goes. MAC is a shill so not very hopeful. Watching it now. 18 minutes in and still blaming holsters. To skip the BS start at: 15:00 minutes. Sig rep implies if you probe with a tool you are moving the trigger. 3.5 million P320s out in the world. P365 has just as many out or more. Note: Tim asked why no P365 problems. Sig rep sidestepped the question, with he doesn't know or can't comment, hmmm. They did show about 30 seconds of vibration testing. I only saw one gun with a magazine inserted. Tim said they were going to do a drop test in the video which never occurred. Sig rep said they have their own video coming out, So the people can know the truth. Has there been any commonality in holsters for these discharges? It would be interesting to take a bunch of 320's, put them in holsters and then attach them to some kind of machine that vibrates and jostles them around to see if the problem could be reproduced in a controlled environment. |

Every video I've seen has either been a Safariland or an open top competition holster. |

There are over 3.5 million guns in the field, and the number of reported incidents is what? 100 or so? And many of these involve guns that were in the field for years, and nothing happened until very specific conditions were met? This is why we don't have a fully reproduced UD yet. If it was easy, or even reasonable, to reproduce a UD, the incident rate would be MUCH higher with that many guns in circulation. But that also doesn't mean nothing is happening. The acceptable rate of UDs isn't .00001%, it's 0%. And nothing in this interview addresses the relationship between the sear and the striker block which we now know to be a repeatable and verifiable problem. |

I stopped listening at "the gun won't fire without a trigger pull". This is bullshit. At best it's still up on the air and at worst it has been confirmed to have happened a bunch of times. I'm done with Sig and MAC. Neither is trustworthy of worth wasting my $ or time on given so many better alternatives. |
