As in this caes, if the water starts to rise at your home and you have to leave, question?

Is your shtf ammo waterproof?
How much ammo that you have stock piled can or would you take?
Would a AR 15/10 owner, gun permit holder have to surrender thier arms while minimal law enforcement is available?
Would you surrender regardless of your constitutional rights?
Do we know when you no longer have that right, ie 911 or current scenario?

Finally, is what we all prepare for (shtf) geared more towards defence of country scenario when the goverment calls "all hands on deck" to everyone in defence this country?

Thanks

In a well prepared persons plan of action you would be long gone before the water rose.

Shtf is any event, flood, blizzard, emp, tornado, invasion, riots, zombies, etc. It is about protecting myself and my loved ones, that is why I preapare.

Yep. USGI Ammo cans are water resistant, but I wouldn't soak them underwater for too long.

How much ammo that you have stock piled can or would you take?

As much as fits in my truck. Probably 10k rounds with all the other stuff we would have packed in there.

Would a AR 15/10 owner, gun permit holder have to surrender thier arms while minimal law enforcement is available?

WTF?

Would you surrender regardless of your constitutional rights?

I say again, Whiskey-Tango-Foxtrot, over?

I'd say, if you have to dial 911 because of looters or gangs roaming the streets, you are in a world of hurt...

SHTF is pretty much defend your family first, then your friends, then your property, then your neighborhood, then your country...

Thanks

You're welcome!

How much ammo that you have stock piled can or would you take? as much as is possible after the tent and other necessities were packed
Would a AR 15/10 owner, gun permit holder have to surrender thier arms while minimal law enforcement is available? Never give up, never surrender
Would you surrender regardless of your constitutional rights? See above

Finally, is what we all prepare for (shtf) geared more towards defence of country scenario when the goverment calls "all hands on deck" to everyone in defence this country? SHTF is anything I can think of that is likely to happen. If it's invaders, I am as set up as I can be for that. If it's a natural disaster, I am as set up as I can be for that at this time. Prepare for the likeliest scenario first, the rest after.

Thanks

What I mean is in a cival unrest situation more so than September 11th situation I guest, with limited security, forced to the streets with your AR, can local authorities demand you turn over your arms. In other words, making you give up your right to bear arms.

And if you don't could you be prosecuted?

Why the hell would we have to surrender our weapons?

Would you surrender regardless of your constitutional rights?

HELL NO!

Do we know when you no longer have that right, ie 911 or current scenario?

When we no longer have the right to what? Own our weapons? We ALWAYS have the right to our weapons. Just because some horrible attrocity happens dosent mean we roll over and give away our right for self-protection.

ETA: Ok there was a clarification made so ill revise my answer to the last one.

Simple, keep it in a discreet case. No questions, no problems.

Is your shtf ammo waterproof? DUh! Yeah. The cans are factory sealed.
How much ammo that you have stock piled can or would you take?ALL of it. Remember the golden rule, ye' that has the guns can take the gold.
Would a AR 15/10 owner, gun permit holder have to surrender thier arms while minimal law enforcement is available? I'm trying to type while laying on the floor gasping for breath like a landed fish, G-D that was funny. Yeah, like small town Barney Fife with a GED is going to really want to sacrifice his life to protect mine as much as I want to stay alive myself. Sheeple may automajickally trust anyone in authority but the hand that holds the feed bucket will also hold the leash. Notice how all the domers are being bussed to wherever the .gov dictates.
Would you surrender regardless of your constitutional rights? MOΛΏΝ ΛΑΒΕ More Now, Than Then
Do we know when you no longer have that right, ie 911 or current scenario? Where do you come up with this we shit? Got a mouse in your pocket? In these cases, your rights are backed up with what you have in FMJ

Finally, is what we all prepare for (shtf) geared more towards defence of country scenario when the goverment calls "all hands on deck" to everyone in defence this country? Engrish translation desired If they need the militia, then they can do like they did in 1861. Call for the raising of regiments. Until then, it is like it is in NOLA. We bug out and live OK, while the welfare sheeple revert back to Somalia.

Thanks

And yes, I have no qualms about leaving the economic parasites behind in the socialist wonderland that the liberals created. I can leave them behind living: or if they're in my way on the way out, just leave them laying. Their choice.

If you don't like my opinion, then don't ask for it. And I call DUh. Remember, it is easier for us to goto DUhland and express feelings like an idiot, than it is for DUmmer to come here and act like he has some sense.

Wganz, I was hoping to get a response maybe from a leo or someone who may give some insight on lawful possesion of a weapon in a marshall law type of situation with regardes to your rights. Would a leo here on the forum confiscate weapons?

When your standing in front of St. Peter answering questions about your bachelor party, that's when you no longer have the right.

Lived the first 33 years or so of my life in Louisiana so I can tell first hand that there isn't a gun permit in Louisiana except for handguns in the former city of NOLA. Once martial law is declared by the Prez; well, all bets are off at that point. Google is your friend for martial law declarations.

The way I understand it, if just depends on the order of the military commander that has assumed control of your area. This link tends to reinforce that although, IANL and YMMV.

In strict dictionary terms, martial law is the suspension of civil authority and the imposition of military authority. When we say a region or country is "under martial law," we mean to say that the military is in control of the area, that it acts as the police, as the courts, as the legislature. The degree of control might vary - a nation may have a civilian legislature but have the courts administered by the military. Or the legislature and courts may operate under civilian control with a military ruler. In each case, martial law is in effect, even if it is not called "martial law."

Sorry dude, but I just don't understand WTF you were trying to say there and BabelFish wasn't much help.
