I just want a basic leather roper.  I've been wearing a pair of old Justin ropers for almost 20yrs and they finally bit the dust last week.  Been re-soled more times than I can count.  I went to buy a new pair this morning and every pair of Justin ropers I found were synthetic and made in China.  I can't find much info on their website, so I don't know if they have a leather roper that's made in the USA anymore.  I did find a nice pair of Lucchese 2000 series ropers that are leather and made in USA (well...made in El Paso, which is guess is still technically in America :)  )   However, they didn't have my size in stock.  Looked like a nice boot, though.

Does anyone have other suggestions for a decent, all leather, made in US roper?  Not interested in fancy boots, exotic skins or work boots...just a plain old everyday roper for less than $500.

Thanks for any info...

Depends on the boot.  About half of Justins are made in the US.

Thanks.  Looks like they have a dealer about 60 miles from here. I will try to drop by in the morning and check them out.

Tried about 20 different boots from a dozen brands. Went with the Lucchese ropers.  Seemed to have the best materials and fitting for the money.  Now I just need to break them in.   Also got a pair of Double H work boots for hunting.
