Thinking about getting my nieces each a hamster for Christmas.
I had a couple as a kid. They lived in a 10 gallon fish tank with a few inches of pine shavings, with a hanging water bottle and a little bowl of sunflower seeds. I talked to a few people now, they all told me to get a wire cage, and paper bedding. (I was also informed that there should only be 1 hamster per cage. True? False?) Any tips? |

They make a fucking racket while you're trying to sleep. And cage pets stink. They stink if not taken care of, yes. Look into pet rats. They make good pets too. |
