The author of this abomination is 'a career naval officer.' His thesis is that we can fix all the injustice facing black Americans today by making their vote count as 5/3 of a vote - inverting the constitional census value of slaves. I'm not quoting any of it, go read. This column is featured in the 'PostEverything' section, where they publish some really idiotic garbage. Of which this one stands out as a notable example. Maybe this section is WaPo's version of click bait to drive ad revenue. Anyway, it's BS. |

We have to keep squeezing the societal machine until it produces "fairness".
We have fairness going into the front of the machine....equal rights for everyone, free public school education for everyone, etc. However, according to the Socialists, we do not have fairness coming out of the other end of the machine. Therefore, the machine is broken and must be fixed. |

The true reparation was giving them citizenship in the greatest country in the world. If they don't like it then maybe we can give them some money, but they permanently get kicked out of the country. Look, I'm all in favor of a colorblind society and stuff. I know most Black people are decent enough folk and I have no problem with living around, working with, or socializing with Black people. I know life in America wasn't always all that it should have been for Black people too. And I also know when people stop using things that happened in the past as a reason and start using it as an excuse. And I know when it stops being an excuse and starts becoming a justification for demands for special treatment. And we are way past that point. I'm near fifty and I've never lived in an America where it is legal to discriminate against Black people. I've also never lived in an America where discrimination against Whites wasn't mandated under law. Well I'm sorry but there's nothing more White people can do. Every single problem in the "Black Community" today is the result of how Black people act and the life choices they make. So it's up to Black people to correct their own issues cause it ain't my problem. |
