There has been a suggestion to rename this forum to make it more clear what this forum covers for people not actively engaged in conversation here. Before we start renaming things, we wanted to check in with the community here for suggestions on what you would like the forum to be called. Drop your suggestions here and I will make a poll for you all to vote on which would be best. Thanks! |

This forum is primarily discussing computers (hardware and software) and networking but is also increasingly covering home automation. I would like a new name that is inclusive of all of those and not too narrowly focused on any one part. |

"Did you turn it off and then on again?" Something like "All Things Tech/IT". The distinction with IT seems relevant since there are "tech" subs that have nothing to do with gadgets and geekery. |

| i have only posted one thread here, but i will contribute that it too me 20 years to post in this forum because I had no idea what urban commandos meant, and didnt know it was any kind of tech forum until i ended up finding a post on a topic i had interest in. would make sense to rename IMHO. |

Any meaningful change will need to delineate the new name further into ("Information Technology", Smart Home Tech, Programming, Hardware, Phones/Mobile Phones, Robotics, etc) sub sub-forums. |

The subtitle "Hardware, Software, Home Automation, Networks, & Security" makes the description clearer and I will have a sticky at the top of the forum making it clear what topics are suitable for discussion. |
