| Mods please let me know if this is out of line or if this is the wrong section for this. I just wanted to share with you all that there is an instagram page and website called reloading_allday. He posts some great content about handloading. He is a great guy who knows what he is doing. His website is just getting up and running and he is looking for people to post some of their best handload recipes. This is NOT my page and I am NOT being paid to advertise, just trying to put out a good word for him. Thanks guys. |

Check it out, if you haven't already been there. Chris |

Hmmm, no That is why there is reloading manuals. Yeah...pet loads for one don't always equate to great loads for another. Always start low and work your way up in your own weapons. Guides are just that. Now...little tricks of the trade being shared is a great thing. Don't take shortcuts. You should have seen all of the noobs in 2008 not even bothering to buy a reloading manual, or printing out the free pamphlets from the web and wanting other people's 'pet loads.' Chris |

The manuals miss a lot of things and don't give personal experience. Not everyone wants to buy several manuals too. Quoted:

"Several" is the minimum number of manuals a reloader should have, but I appreciate what others might have to share. There are a lot of 'little things' that I've learned from others, that help make my ammo better and save me time. Chris |

If that is your style go for it! What have you got to lose? Reloading manuals have no purpose after all! |

There are a load of loads I make that there are no data for so I have to compare things online and eventually find something. I never just take someone's exact load and seat depth, that's not smart. Online data is a great starting point. |

Chris I reloaded for years with nothing more than the free load manuals from Winchester and Ramshot and stuff I read on the web. I'd be really surprised if 5 years from now they bother printing them anymore. I have a Hornady and Nosler one. Now that they both have their data on the web, I see no reason to buy them. |
