Update: Register here. BLUF: Who: All interested parties. Competitors must be 15 years of age or older on the date of competition or have a waiver from the event director. What: An event that will be mentally, physically, and for some competitors emotionally, challenging. The event is designed to push each competitor to their individual limits, and groups of competitors to their limit as teams. When: 0500 MST 25 May 2024 through 1800 MST 26 May 2024 Where: The Serenity Valley Ranch, in vicinity of (IVO) Melstone, MT. Why: In order to test a wide range of outdoor and leadership skills, to include decision making abilities, to increase the competitors knowledge and understanding of their own strengths, weaknesses, and limitations, and to build comradery among competitors, staff, and spectators alike. Could one be physically prepared for ruck and such but show up mostly to start learning the other skills? |

Land Nav is a monster at his pony farm, but we put on a land nav course every year in April in Colorado to teach folks the basics. Highly recommend attending because you can fail during the day when people around can help out. Land nav starts at 0200 during Warfighter. Yes. 2 in the morning. You have to find a bunch of points all over the property and there are ravines, wild ponies and various other critters all over the place. As for the shooting portion taking a weekend appleseed course will put you well on your way. You'll also want to know... a lot of knots. Particularly the swiss seat. |

You are welcome to bring your rappelling harness, but be prepared to carry everything you plan to use while you run all over the place for 36 hours. Common misconception. You don't join APC. There are not actual "members" beyond the staff and board of directors. You simply participate and adhere to our guidelines while participating at APC events. That is it. Pursuing an APC rating doesn't require a membership, rather it is like getting a qualification through a vocational school that you did night classes at for years without ever being a full-time student. |

I have a group that I larp around with - that's why I have a harness in my rappelling kit. I've been off quite a few cliffs in the Gorge. The idea of hitting up hometown is a good one - I'll be sure to do that when I get some time. One last question - are there any places for families to go during the event nearby? Id like to bring my wife and kids and make a vacation out of it. |

But you could probably let them come and hang out around the campsites adjacent the cabin if they'd like. |
