| Hello, I'm new to this forum. Was curious if anyone has much experience with the new Redfield scopes. I was looking at a battlezone 3-9x42. Mounting it to an AR. These Redfields seem to be $300-500 cheaper than anything else I'm interested in. Thanks for any input. |

Redfield is g2g IMO. I have several different types on plinking and hunting guns, never had a problem with either one of them. A few years ago I believe I read somewhere that Leupold bought Redfield and made it essentially a "budget Leupold" line? Also comes with lifetime warranties on all their scopes like Vortex. |

I have a 2-7 Redfield Revolution.
The good: Cheap. Made in USA. Good clarity for the money. 2-7X magnification range was what I was looking for. Did I mention cheap? The not so good: The turrets are spongy and don't have crisp clicks. The reticle is very plain Jane. Overall, I think the Redfield is a good value. Especially if you want the best glass in a variable no frills cheap scope. I also have a Nikon P223 which is in the same price range. The Nikon has nicer turrets, and a better reticle, but I would pick the Redfield over it every time because the glass is better. |

That is correct. Leupold bought them, and they are actually a very nice scope now (for the money). I'm the manager of an FFL, and we sell these, i'm very impressed. They are for sure Leupold clear when looking through them. Hope this helps. |

I have a "Battlezone" 3x9 on an AR. Great scope - good glass, good price. (I just bought it for the name, so I can feel tacticool. )
Redfield is owned by Leupold. The Revolution is the only one that is made in the US. All the others, including the BZ are made over seas. That said, I haven't heard anything bad about the BZ scopes and Redfield has a no BS warranty if something happens to your scope. Check out their webpage and see if there is a rebate or special going on right now. As always, YMMV... |

The Revenge and Battlezones are made in the Philippines and I would say they're on par with something like Burris or Nikon.
The Revolution scopes are US made. I've done just fine with my Revolution TAC on plates out to 600. I used a DNZ Freedom 20 moa one piece mount. |
