Ok, so now I have three dead laptops. They are all dead for different reasons. Does anyone know of any sources for replacement laptop mother boards?

Two are Dell Latitudes (PIIIs) one is a Dell Inspiron. All have very nice 15" screens and one has an almost perfect keyboard.

Ebay has the best chance of getting pulled motherboards and parts.

There are only two sources: the manufacturer, and scavenged parts from used machines (eBay or craigslist.org).  Unfortunately, if the model in question has a known problem, then you're likely to have the same problem with the replacement parts sooner or later.

For example, we had a whole bunch of laptops that our company bought that had poorly designed power supplies that would die.  Most of the laptops made at least one trip back to the factory under warranty to have them replaced, and one machine went back 3 times.

After the warranty expired, we bought a couple dozen of the power supplies to fix them ourselves, but when those were gone, we found out the manufacturer had run out, and wouldn't be making more.  We had to start replacing the machines after that.
