After replacing the compressor the rear air won't work. It doesn't even blow.
I've checked all of the fuses and circuit breakers listed in the manual.
The front cools the whole truck, but now I want to sell, so I want to fix.
Any ideas?

why did you have to replace the compressor?

did you flush the system?

did you replace the oraface /expansion valve too?

I had no idea they had a compressr in the back?? do you mean the fan/blower there is one of them in the rear.

if it is the blower motor it could be in the switch either the front control or the rear controls.
there is the posibility that the relay or fuse that runs it is not in the manual, I would check at teh plug on the fan motor first to see if it is even getting power.

also hit up this forum..fullsizechevy(dot)com there is a lot of good info over there.

I replaced the compressor due to compressor failure. I chaged the orfice and condenser dryer in the front. I did nothing to the back.
All gauge readings are as tey should be.

I would expect a second oraface in the back.

you would have a seperate evaporator in the rear. because the front one is working normally, it may not cause any reading issues like you would get if both were plugged with gunk.

again, a full system flush is usually recommend when the compressor craps out because it throws junk everywhere and will plug stuff up.

can you get to the rear lines to see if the return is hot or cold/ambient. not where they connect up but the actual rear after the evaporator.

No air at all, huh?  Not even a fan?

Open it up, measure the voltage at the fan.

There is also one more thing you can try... it seems like Chevies like to have odd electrical issues with the rear HVAC.  Disconnect your battery for half an hour, then try again.  It works surprisingly often, and worked on my Suburban when it decided that it didn't want to switch between hot and cold in the back.

doh, missed that.
was thinking a/c was a fault, but till you get the blower motor running, you have no idea.
my mistake.
