H.264 1080p full motion on a 700MHZ CPU is flawless.
Other formats...it's a really nice GPU with a 700MHZ CPU. So, medium to good. Damn cheap, fun to play with, and I don't have to take my laptop to the lake. |

They cost like, $39. Plus whatever cases and crap you want. Plus, whatever micro SD cards you have lying around. So, you spend what you want. Quoted:

Interesting. What are some use cases for this? Streaming Netflix to a 24" or larger LCD?
How is the OS? I'm at their site now, poking around, but thought I'd ask y'all for your input. Recommended sites for more info, etc. I'm somewhat familiar with technology, just not up to date on the latest/greatest toys. Case in point, I'm posting from CentOS on a 2005 laptop.

I bought an $8 case for the B+ that is nice, it has the classic "black box" look. OS is pretty much Linux, with various optimizations. If you use UNIX/Linux everyday, you can play to your heart's content. If you don't know what the hell Linux is you can still set it up to do useful stuff. |

Does it support HDMI out? I'm looking for a device (cheaper than Roku) that I can plug into my TV and play .m4v/.mkv/.mp4 movies from an SD or USB. Micca Speck micca speck Sd card or usb input, hdmi 1080p HD output. Plays any format I've thrown at it. |
