Just spent an afternoon drilling paper with SP10, who was gracious enough to invite me to shoot with some of his buddies. Good news: a wonderful time was had by all. Bad news: The collapsable stock on my M4gery failed, and won't stay open when fully extended. I found this out when the recoil drove the rifle back along the buffer tube into my face. Fortunately, it was just a kiss, but MAN I'm pissed off! I have no idea what brand it is, but I do know it's a very-lightly-used few years old. I ended up shooting it with the stock in the middle position. VERY short length of pull, but shootable nonetheless. Any recommendations on a quality replacement? BEST news: SP10 allowed me to shoot his USGI M1A, and one of his buddies allowed e to look closely at his Match M1A. I'm SOLD, baby! While I have had three of these on my wishlist for some time, that's going to be going up to four or five, and I just found my new SHTF gun. DAMN I loved that thing! Thanks again to SP10 for the hospitality and attention, and SHAME ON YOU, Aimless, for letting some stupid court proceeding interfere with your shooting! |
