I have the setup below, and am using it for range sensing. I'd like to try to substitute a cell phone (phones) for the two Digi RF transceiver. I suspect that I would use a USB cable for the serial comm to the cell phone, and then either a similar setup on the computer side or a USB modem to connect to the cell network or web server... that is, if I need to set up a web server to pass the data to the laptop. Anyone have suggestion on how to do that? 
The way it is now, I simply use a hyperterminal on the laptop to receive and record the data stream. If it is easiest to keep that, or have a web page capture it as it is passed from a web server, does not matter to me. Whatever is easiest. Thanks for any advice, -3D |
