I have a box of 27 US WWII vintage vaccum tubes. Here's a list: 6 - JAN-CHY-OD3-VR150 5 - JAN-CHS-6J6 4 - JAN-CKR-6J6 2 - VT-99 2 - JAN-6576 1 - VT-37 1 - RKR-72 1 - 6K7 1 - VT-133 1 - JRC-656 1 - JAN-154 VT-210 1 - No. 9006 1 - CHS 6L6 GA Boxes are intact and most show age staining. Some tube pins show mild corrosion but bodies seem to be fine. I need some cash and am wondering what might be a fair price    |

Cool find Unfortunately, most of those tube predate the desireable guitar amp and audiophile tube era of the '50's and '60's. I looked up some of the tubes I did not recognize HERE and found they mostly related to radio gear. The one that is used in guitar amps (Fender typically) is the 6L6 but it doesn't appear to be one of the desireable brands. However, the 6L6 being new old stock (NOS) should get you a minimum of $15 - $20. Ebay is going to be your best bet to get a rough idea of the value of the tubes. Keep in mind the brand of the tube is everything to an audiophile or guitar amp tube buyer. If the brand isn't the same, no direct conclusion on the price can be drawn. Not being a vintage radio guy I have no idea if the radio folks get hung up on brands of tubes. Kent |
