There was a thread about Tasco SS scopes in the EE forums that has mysteriously vanished and a new one was started.

Now granted, the questions that were raised were in a FS post, but the Sponsor not only had input into the thread, but raised some eyebrows with some things that he said. What gives?

Just because someone is a sponsor here means his actions and words should never be questioned?

The sponsor basically said one thing on his website and then came here and said the exact opposite. Then when some members questioned those words, the whole thread gets deleted. What about all of the members that have bought that particular scope due to the raves on the web site?

I realize that sponsors bring money to this site, and I personally have no problems with this sponsor being that I have never bought from them, but come on, at least have the courtesy to explain yourself. Deleting the thread was just plain wrong.

You might try contacting the moderator of that forum and asking him about it.  That might help more than complaining here.

I removed all inappropriate posts that were in violation of the EE Rules.  This is not a new thread, just a cleaned up thread.

There are plenty of other forums where these kinds of questions can be asked.  The EE is not the place for it.

Breaking the rules is just plain wrong.  Come on, don't expect me to ignore it.

Stokes,

Fair enough. As I said, the original thread became a clusterf*ck with all of the extra thoughts.

I will go to the Sponsors forum and pose the questions that were raised.
