Just got a barrel in for a new build. It is made By ER Shaw if that matters.
Question is this,,,, How hard would it be for someone to recut the threads on the muzzle, without having to cut the existing threaded portion off? Should have been a 1/2 X 28 but isn't. mics out to just about 9/16ths instead. Is this fixable? |

No 5/8 X 28 falls right over it without engaging the threads. Quoted:

I think it's actually 5/8x28 There is probably nothing wrong with it. No 5/8 X 28 falls right over it without engaging the threads. Have you tried test fitting the flash hider or other muzzle device to see if it screws on? If it's out of spec, I would just send it back to ER Shaw as a defective product and let them deal with it instead of paying to have it fixed. |

Dam had to wait almost a month for this barrel. It isn't a normal .223/5.56 barrel it is a 6mmX45/6mm - .223 barrel. |
