Hi, I recently ordered something from Brownell's and it shipped Priority mail. It was delivered and left on at my front door (I was at home, they could have knocked or rung the doorbell to deliver it). The problem that I have with it was that the box was all jacked up. The corner was ripped and stuff was missing from the box. I can only assume that it fell out because only some of the things were missing, not all. My question is...am I screwed? I don't think that Brownell's shipped it insured so if things are missing do I have to take the hit? If I'm not screwed how can get it replaced? Who do I talk to? USPS or Brownell's?
Here's some photos on how the box looked when I got it from my front door.

Have you even contacted brownells to ask them?

Contact Brownells. They have to deal with it regardless. The shipper has to file the claim.
More than likely, they'll ship what you're missing no questions asked then deal with the post office themselves.

That looks like something heavy was placed on top of that box.

I sent an email to Brownell's. I got the package on Sat so I'll probably get an answer on Monday. Not complaining about the problem, I just wasn't sure if I needed to contact the Post Office as well.

IIRC $50 of insurance is automatically included with priority mail. The shipper has to file the claim.
Keep all packing materials and pictures of the box.

Most companies will take care of you. The post office won't do jack. Best of luck.
