Are State and Fed LEOS exempt from knife carrying laws and restrictions?  It would seem kind of unusual that they can carry concealed weapons including FA/burst SBRs and not carry switchblades or big folders?

I'm not a cop but seen your thread. I'm pretty sure most states allow side folding auto's, I think most of it has to due with blade length. I'm in AZ but OTF are legal here now so....
If you need something quick yourself the Kershaws assisted folders are plenty fast.

EDIT - I don't think any LEO or .gov, .mil have to worry about restrictions.

I carried a Buck 110 in a sheath on my duty belt for years. I also occasionally carried a Khyber boot knife.

My state specifically exempts LEO & .mil from the law regarding concealed and automatic knives.
