| No, not a very good Drill Sergeant. Sgt. Hulka is way too much of a buddy/buddy DS. They are not your friends, they are there to train you the basic soldier skills so can fight and stay alive. It really isn't an accurate portrayal of life in Basic Training, but it was filmed at Ft. Knox where I went to OSUT at. Some of those old wood buildings pictured in the movie were still there when I ETSed from there in 2006. |
