We watched Pulp Fiction for about the 50th time last night, and there's a scene that piqued my curiosity.  Just after they shoot Marvin in the face, they're over at Jimmy's house and its about 8:15 in the morning.  When Marcellas Wallace calls the Wolf, we see that everyone over at the Wolf's house is dressed up, like some kind of party is going on.  Plus, Harvy Keitel is in a tux.

What the hell are they all doing dressed up at  8 in the morning??

Wake?
Pre-wedding celebration?
Still partying from the previous night?

But from Quentin Tarantino and his Films v2.0:

   *  7. What was Winston Wolf doing in a tuxedo at 8:30 in the morning? Where was he?

The script explains that Winston was in a hotel suite where people were gambling. If you listen closely, you can hear someone in the room telling the gamblers to 'place their bets'.

I've always wondered that also.  Must be a hell of a after hours party

I thought it was to twist your mind.

They were VERY heavy handed about it being 8:30 am, yet nobodyt asked him why he's dressed to the nines.

Just a Tarantino-ism.

I always wondered if the cab driver was in anything else. She looked hot.

Could have also been a character twist added by Keitel.....Winston Wolf would have been the type to be impeccably dressed (although not neccessarily tuxed up) at any time of day.

Yup...gambling party.  The script explains its in a hotel.

I like the Wolf.  A great problem solver.

I think all the clocks, throughout the movie, were set at 8:30. I'd have to go back and check though.
