 Not a very well known film, but one that I think is terrific in it's own right, and in many ways comparable to Heat. I consider it a more realistic 'commandoes in the jungle' kind of movie than most action films of that type. Excellent acting and the characters are well developed, one and all. There is not a tremendous amount of action in this film, but the final shootout is very rewarding. Lots of great dialogue as well. 
I like that the characters are placed in a realistic scenario, face a lot of major hurdles along the way, then come up with a solid plan and put it into action by the end of the film. Nobody just rushes into things to keep the plot moving like so many films. Terry Thorne seems like a real ex-military contractor to me as well. |
he was like wtf?
I remember at the end as they are flying away in the helicopter from the mission, and one of the guys is going into shock after being hit. Caruso's character is still riding the adrenaline high and screams "Don't worry, he always does this!" I laughed my ass off at that line the first time I heard it. |
