I got a fairly new (< than a year old) 94 in .30-30. And almost everytime I go shooting it will misfire atleast once. The cartridge shows that the firing pin hit it. so what's going on? |
| Don't see why not...any decent smith should be able to stone things down and make it smoother for you. If you have a local smith, have him check the firing pin dimensions (explain the problem to him, he might know of other causes), and ask him to do a trigger job on it.. |
| How hard is the firing pin hitting the primer on the misfire? Is it a shallow/light strike? Its possible it is a head spacing problem. I had the exact same thing happen with one of my 94s, and the barrel had to be replaced . Good thing was, it didn't cost me a dime (as it was under warranty). |
