I recently downloaded the free adblock program from the download section on CNET.    I followed the instructions and installed it.  So far, not a single ad has been blocked, and I have no idea if it is even enabled.

I can't find it anywhere on my mac.  I think there is supposed to be a tab for it in the preferences section, but I can't find it.

Can someone tell me where to look to make sure it is enabled or even installed correctly?  Nothing pulls up on the finder.

Link to original download?

ETA I see Safari has it's own extension just like FF and Chrome do.

Thanks for the reply, I completely missed that when I searched.  I am just used to downloading stuff from a third party like CNET because I think I am going to trash my computer by clicking on something bad.

This is what I downloaded:

within Safari go to addons.

From there find your installed addons and configure adblock.

Sounds like you installed it but didn't subscribe to any of the adblock lists.
