If a person who genuinely wants to serve his people enters politics, he soon discovers that to get along he has to play along.

I would wager that of all the men in both houses of Congress either are commiting acts every day that they have to conceal from the people; or they know of others who are doing these things.

The ability of these men to access the people's purse, while concealing the extent of this taking, is the basis of this corruption.

A different system of taxation would reduce the size of this larceny which is why we will never get rid of the income tax.

Eliminating all other Federal taxes for a national retail sales tax would make it difficult Washington to take our money. It would do this because ther would be no doubt how much tax is being paid; which the politicians have gone through great pains to conceal.

Here are some methods currently being used to conceal this taking.

Social Security and Medicare. Does any actually believe that the so-called employers contribution actually comes out of profits? It comes out of worker productivity or consumers price.

Corporate income tax is a national sales tax; conveniently buried by the time the consumer pays it.

The founding fathers recogized the evil of the kind of tax system we have now.
They envisioned that the Congress would meet and determine how much it needed to run the country.  They these members would return to their individual states with a revenue bill based on the population of each state. Each of these states would then raise the money however they could.

Imagine your Senators and Representaives coming back to their home states and presenting the annual bill. It wouldn't be nearly as much fun for them as what we have now and few of them would go back for too many terms.

While we watch the circus of abortion, guns and who or what can marry; they steal our money and sell us down the river.

I'm home sick today and watching C-SPAN entirely too much.
