$1700 POS Wasr AK. Finish was extremely bad, wood was chipped to hell, a little rusty --This was the most surprising $1700 for some type of AK (didn't care to look at which type) with some cheap ass rail bolted on every inch of the thing, cheap forward grip, aftermarket plastic stock, the works $1500 plane jane bushmaster AR-15 $2000 20" Sporter Colt AR-15, looked pretty shiity, nobody took care of it from the looks $1300+ for Ruger Mini 14's $500 Yugo Sks's $140 Mosins??? OUTRAGE Some guy had a sign on his back, selling Wolf .223 for 50c a round The main ammo guy had PMC .223 for 60c a round, surplus 7.62x54r for 30c a round, didn't care to check out anything else Pmags for $35, $40 for windowed ones I actually thought about spending large amounts of money on beef jerky and hot sauce! Biggest waste of $8 in my entire life. Fuck Obama Fuck price gougers Fuck the panic buyers |

Cash talks. If a guy had a rifle selling for $2K at 4:30pm on Sunday, and you showed him ten $100 bills (because $1K is what the gun is REALLY WORTH) then he would probably sell it to you. And if not, he's a fool. It's WORTH what someone will give for it. The actual value of an AK would be around 1-200 bucks. About the same as an airsoft. Takes the same amount of manufacturing, pretty much. Then, look at NFA stuff. A m10 is 3500 bucks. It's real value is about 150, if it were any other consumer good. Market pressures dictate price. If the guy you describe took the 1k he would be a fool because there are people willing to pay much more, right now. |
| I just returned from the Winston-Salem gun show and saw the same thing. One guy wanted $1500.00 for a used DPMS 20" A2. I will say this much I saw people buying. One guy payed $350.00 for a lower with just the lower parts kit in it and without a stock attached.I asked the vendor how much for a stripped lower and he wanted $300.00 for a no name brand, it wasn't even painted. Oh the line to get in this morning was about 300 yards long. |

And I wouldn't pay more than $1K for a gun that's worth...................wait for it................... $1000 And at 4:30 Sunday afternoon, I'm guessing the seller will agree. |

I went to the show in pasadena, tx. The line wrapped around the building to get in.
I am pretty sure everything sold out in the first 30 minutes. stripped lowers $500 pretty much everything had a $1000 markup on it from what the price was last week. amd65's were $1500, colt 6940's $2200, colt m4a1 block II's $3k, noveske $4.5k. |

Gonna answer some questions without quoting anyone, too lazy.
The "POS wasr", was definitely a POS, not bashing AK's, I actually went there looking for one, I own an AR too and saw some shitty AR's. There weren't too many strollers this time around But the crowd..never seen so many people at a show before, I actually had to wait in line for 20 minutes to get into the door, some news cameras were there to tape all the crazy gun-nuts and the extreme evilness that dwells within. There was very little variety this time around, people probably bought all the evil assault rifles within 30 minutes of it opening. Which was more than likely, overpriced as hell. Too many of the usual fudd guns. I'm getting sick of seeing .243 hunting rifles, double barrels, and such I actually went through the loophole about a dozen times, wait until I tell my local news station, and the fact that I didn't come out a criminal, will surely be astonishing I tried some samples of jerky and hot sauce/chips which wasn't too bad I guess |

That's what I bought them for. See what I mean? 1k is still inflated. You're saying it's worth that. Someone else may be willing to pay 1600. You're agreeing with an inflated price it's just to a different degree. |

How was the supply of used flintlocks. I've been looking for one, but they seem scarce. You might want to come to Linton Indiana for the Buck Creek ML Club trade fair Weekend of the 27-27th Also there is the Connor Longrifles show on the north side of Indy about a month later.... |
