1919s can't be changed. I don't recall if the aircraft version of the 1919 could....

As a general rule the ground 1919A4s fed from the left. I am pretty sure that the aircraft and tank .30 cals were capable of feeding from either side.

I agree. AFAIK the US Army didn't issue left handed holsters for 1911s during WW2.
