You know Perry ain't the best governor ever but some of you guys act like he fucked your sister. I don't have a sister but even hatching a plan to steal almost 6 million acres of Texans land for a road system we don't need, pay to build, and then have to pay to use makes me mad. It may not upset you, but it damn sure upsets me, and I don't forget that shit. |

I didn't like the idea for the TTC either and am glad to see it not happen. He's about as good as it gets as far as guns go. That's the only thing that keeps him getting my vote, although nobody worth a damn has run against him. |

One would wonder where he got the idea that Texans would just roll over for that project? I'll give you the RTKAB issue, but don't think for even one damn second if he thought that harming gun rights would win him votes that he wouldn't put pen to paper fast enough to make your head spin. |

If you have graduated from school in Texas, you know the governor has very little executive power. So if you complain about the governor, you are just showing you are either a transplant or you didn't do too well in school. Trans Texas Corridor was needed because the legislature took 25% of the revenue from motor vehicle fuel tax and gave it to education. Without telling TXDOT. Education funding has been a major problem in Texas because the system has slowly evolved by unfunded mandates. See Edgewood v. Kirby. |

Hope not. He has zero respect for property rights and has no convictions about anything. He's also a self serving, pandering asswipe. But he can beat Obama. Yes, he very well can. Nobody fucking cares about beating Obama anymore. They just want to bitch, whine, cry and moan about how imperfect their own party is. Half of these fuckers are probably going to vote for dogfucking 'Boma if they see that their pet politician has no chance of winning. Or at least ensure the Kenyan's re-election by proxy, party subversion and pathetic inaction. I don't give a fuck which republican runs against Obama. Unless he is vocally anti-constitutional and can prove that he's WORSE than Obama, I'm voting for him. |

It's perfectly fine to figgure out who's best to put up to run against Obama, and I doubt that's going to happen without a little examination. I don't like Perry. I also don't like a number of other candidates that I'm seeing put up to go against Obama....But one's going to get put up there, and, that's who there is to vote for. |

You've got to figgure out who there is that you want running the nation and fight for him or her to the best of your ability. Then, close up behind whomever the candidate is that's chosen, even if you have to close your nose. |

But the last two...the last two don't make him any worse than anyone else in Washington. And, Hell, if that's all that he's got going against him (and it ain't) then he's doing a million times better than 0bama. And I hope none of y'all were thinking about voting for Gollum (aka Bill White)........... I'm no Slick Rick fan, but its not like the Grand Old Party is offering much at the serving table. Pretty much what the Democrats are hoping for –– so much infighting that nothing gets anywhere which assures Ass Clown In Chief another four years to fuck this country in the ass. Without the lube. |

I admit to being a transplant, but dont' act like he doesn't make appointments to boards, have veto power and can set the general tone for state politics by doing so. Bottom line, he's in charge, or he isn't. What happens under his watch happens, or it doesn't. He's is the top of the executive branch, or he's not. If the governor engages in actions such as lies, corruption, scandal, or just plain out setting agendas that I don't agree with, I will certainly complain about them. TTC wasn't needed, and, it was shelved. Rightly so. Even the blowdried polecat knew to drop it. As I say to everyone..If you think stealing nearly 6 million acres of private land of Texans at a cost of 184 billion dollars is/was a good idea, I'm not going to be able to convince you otherwise. Vote for whomever you like. http://www.politifact.com/texas/statements/2010/feb/12/rick-perry/perry-says-texas-has-surplus/ There's a little of the "truth" that you have to look forward to with Perry on a national level. I assume you still live in the state, so you know just how far that "Billions of dollars of surplus" went. A couple of months later, we were what? 25 mil or so in the hole? Funny how that works. Honestly, fuck that dude. |

| Perry managed to draw quite a bit of competition for Governor this last time around from within the Republican party, He has about zero chance of uniting the party at a national level. And as for actually getting elected, I am not seeing how that is going to happen. I can definitely think of worse candidates in the Republican lineup; but I don't think Perry can win the primary, let alone the general. |

And no, Perry would not be good. Reasons why have been stated previously. |

He played party ball - the R from the top was saying make the corridor a reality (and it is one, it is being built as I type). He got spanked locally and started talking like a conservative. I have been to several of his speeches, he's pretty good. He showed up to my office Christmas part a couple years ago - that was funny as hell (I work for a small company - so when he walked in he was immediately noticed). I would donate to his campaign - he listens to his constituents. He really pissed me off in the past - but he has made a huge turn around. And toll roads still piss me off... The corridor really pisses me off. It is exactly what we do not need - an expressway for Cheap Chinese Crap and more dept... - But it does screw over the West Coast of the US, so I guess it's not all bad. ––- Very hard for me to say the TTC was shelved when I drive by the section of it that parallels 183 south of Austin every couple months. Techically it is not part of the TCC (that name is shelved - but an extension of SH 130 which would have most likely been portion of the TCC (and is being built by the same firm as contracted for the TCC). TCC as we know it is dead - but the TCC will end up happening, just piece meal and under different names. |

They are just developing along existing infrastructure lines......And Slick Rick's favorite foreign company, Cintra, pulling all the financial strings. I usually take 183 down when I go to Austin. I was shocked to see northern style toll road. Nothing better than paying to build a road, then paying to use it. |

Let's say the primary was held exclusively on ARFCOM against all the current Republican contenders and possibles. Could Perry win that? My bet is no.
So if a guy who is rock-solid on RKBA and has a picture of himself shooting AR15s can't win on ARFCOM, what are his chances in the real world? |

Then, close up behind whomever the candidate is that's chosen, even if you have to close your nose. Agreed wholeheartedly. Then we need to make sure that we GET someone better than Zer0 to run against him. Romney is *NOT* that person. He is just as bad, if not worse than Obama. Same policies, same Liberal bullshit, pretty much Obama's Mini-Me. No matter which way you vote, you're getting another Liberal. If they push forth anyone but Romney or the other RiNO's I'll vote for them. Get Romney in there and I'll vote for Ron Paul. The Republicans wouldn't deserve my vote. |
