Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Paracord Project Question..

After the 'why are blackjacks illegal' thread sorta led in to a paracord thread I got interested in paracord projects and have been researching different types of knots..

My dads old chains saw (stihl 031 AV) does not have the rubber grips on the wrap around handle anymore..  What would be a good knot to use to wrap that handle? its about 1" thick..
