I played way too much Steel Panthers III. I kept a computer just to play it on for a while. I bought the updated version to play on my laptop and really couldn't get into it. They had you maneuvering each tank in a platoon. I'm really jonesing for a good turn based game. I was playing the Little Wargame series on my phone but it dried up. |
| loved PG and its progeny - had them on play station 1. Although I have the original PG on my PC I don't play it. I do have Panzer Corps on Ipad and get back into it every year or so, and just purchased Panzer Corps 2/Axis Operations at the steam sale so am trying that now. I wish they would make a Pacific campaign for PC or PC2. Slitherine was working on one but it got shelved. |

not played in a while but had several of the steel panther games. Also loved Close Combat but that one is rts. I have a couple other turn based ones, but forgot the names, the one has at least 1/2 dozen titles or expansions. but not played it in a couple years.. |

Late to this thread but let me recommend a few for you on Steam: Unity of Command 1 and 2 (play 1 before you start 2, they're usually under $10 and on sale frequently) Panzer Corp 1 and 2 (1 is fantastic and recreation of PzGeneral 1, 2 I haven't started yet, but people love it). Panzer Tactics (another PzGeneral 2 clone that I really enjoyed). |

I still play Open General, which is a user modded Panzer General 2. Lots of theaters and campaigns. Never saw Panzer General1. |

PG1 (now panzercorps?)s my most played game on Steam by far, at just shy of 1k hours  . That's not counting that I owned the game pre-steam eitherNever played Steel Panthers Really wanted to like PG2 but something just didn't quite click the same, also how much they wanted for all their expansions. I don't recall 1 being that greedy. |
