Great to be posting again! I don't have much time, so forgive me for being direct. I'll be going through a few different schools over the next couple of months and I've decided to buy a laptop to keep myself ocupied when I'm not training. The one that's caught my attention is this one. I was going to get this one, but thought the extra 40 GB of hard drive space and extra 1 GB of RAM was worth the additional $50.So, what say you, ARFCOM? Any and all suggestions are welcome. Thank you for reading. Justin |

Hey Justin! Glad to see you back and thanks for serving. I've heard Toshiba is good but I drink deeply of the Lenovo kool aid because I used to have a Thinkpad(IBM) and it was great. Just another suggestion. |

I'm posting this from an HP Pavilian dv8000-series laptop. It's almost 2 years old, and it gets used about 8-12 hours a day, every day. It's handled pretty roughly sometimes, and is often full of dust from being used in the warehouse, but we've had no trouble with it. Our manager bought a Toshiba that sees similar abuse, and it also is holding up well. I put off buying a laptop for a long time, but they've finally gotten good enough to use as a desktop replacement for most tasks. I'd by another HP with no reservations based on my experience. -Troy |
