Vote on your opinion of what you think is the most likely SHTF situation. Thank You |

while i would enjoy a good old-fasionned zombie invasion, i believe the only SHTF scenerio America as a whole (not counting things like a hurrican) will experience will be mass lootings and general lawlessness when/if the bird flu gets here. EDIT- at least in the near future |
we have some pretty nasty homegrown terrorists here that go by crips bloods, playas, pimps, thugz and gangsters(an actual gang) they're a pox on society and their roots branch out through communities and affect us all like a cancer. at the current moment I am more concerned with those terrorists gangs than I am al queda in a national security sense. |
Oh teh noes! Always keep some emergency stash. I've found long ago that beer works like ammo. ![]() And I voted for extraterrestirals from outer space. I fear that the small 5.56 may do little damage to the alien health. I opt for .308 and bigger |
TJ, you're right. We have quite a few of the M-13 boys down here. I AM concerned about Ahmadinejad calling a Holy War on us with the Iranian cells we have and the potential for schools and what have you being targeted. Something's going to happen sometime, and the question is when. HH |

dpends on where you live......ex: here: civil unrest; coast or fault line: natural disaster followed by civil unrest desert and LA: aliens followed by civil unrest coastal towns and boarder states: aliens followed by invasion followed by civil unrest the only thing that is universial: ZOMBIES! variety |

here in sunny south florida it's definitely hurricanes. I was working at the only grocery store with ice post hurricane wilma. It was fun, and that was with a primarily elderly clientel. If we were located in a district with a few different demographics I'd tell my boss I wasn't coming in unless I could bring the AR. before a hurricane, my local gunshop owner always puts a display of mossy 500's in the front of his store. Sells them like hotcakes. |
+1. In the short term (at least down here in the deep south) I see this as a very likely scenario. Similar predictions could also apply if one big earthquake was to hit some major city located somewhere out west. However, in the medium to long term, I see civil unrest still being a big potential problem if the right (or, should I say, wrong ) dominoes fall at the right (wrong) time. For example, due to the current immigration tensions, something or someone boils over and, as a result, it starts a chain reaction of civil unrest that would start in the major cities first but would (eventually) spread out to the hinterlands of the rest of the country sooner or later. Due to wide-spread civil unrest, certain liberties could be tossed aside---if only temporarily----you know....for the greater good of the general public . This, in turn, causes even more unrest and during the chaos, arab terrorist cells start to activate with mass bombings, shootings and kidnappings similar to what has been displayed in israel and iraq over the last 4 or 5 years. Then martial law gets instituted and, while all of this is occurring, our economy here at home basically goes to hell in a handbasket. This, in turn, would cause other major economies to stumble or even crash because (for better or worse) everyone and everything is so interconnected these days that whenever somebody sneezes everybody else ends up reaching for a hankerchef. Our enemies overseas (who see what is happening to us here) also take advantage of the chaos by causing even more mayhem to us and our allies using various means in various locations. Sooner or later, people in washington, brussels, The Hague, Moscow, Beijing, London, Paris, Berlin and at the UN itself begin to get the bright idea Do I need some new tinfoil? ![]() |

Have to be the illegals here. I've not been thru a disaster in more than 40 years when an over abundance of help(neighbors ect.) didn't come out of the woodwork to offer a hand. Around these parts, seems a natural disaster is what brings out the best in us. E.T.A. - And I would'nt live anywhere else for the world. |
What brand of tin foil are you using? You made me dizzy... |
True Dat! |
